William & Mary SWEM Library

MOI partnered with William & Mary to renovate 14,000 SF of the SWEM Library, delivering a modern and sustainable space that supports the university’s evolving needs. MOI worked directly with the college and their design firm to design, deliver and install freestanding private offices, acoustic baffles, light fixtures, and furniture to allow the customer to move in within just two months. By working directly with the school, we were able to greatly reduce the schedule and provide the customer with a fresh, tailored, new office space. 

MOI delivered and installed combined interior construction and furniture project with the support of our in-house design and project management team for a seamless installation. The team leveraged Falkbuilt’s prefabricated construction solutions to create a high-performing, adaptable environment. To complement the construction elements, Herman Miller furniture solutions were selected, aligning with the client’s commitment to sustainability while enhancing comfort and functionality.

Despite facing scheduling and budgeting challenges, MOI worked closely with all partners to maintain project momentum and ensure quality delivery. Through proactive coordination and problem-solving, the team successfully completed the project on time and within budget. The result is a thoughtfully designed, sustainable, and flexible library space that reflects William & Mary’s vision for an innovative academic environment.
