Progress You Can Measure

MOI ranks in the top 25% of companies assessed by EcoVadis. Making an impact is about more than doing good work. It’s about setting standards, measuring progress, and holding ourselves accountable for continuing to improve.

Eco 2026

MOI’s latest EcoVadis sustainability assessment places us in the top 25% of companies assessed, with our overall score increasing five points year over year—one of our most significant annual improvements to date.

For us, that progress is about much more than a number. It provides independent validation of the work happening through Making Our Impact and a clearer roadmap for where we go next.

What is EcoVadis?

EcoVadis is a globally recognized sustainability assessment platform that evaluates organizations across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Rather than looking at sustainability through a single lens, the assessment considers the policies, actions, reporting, and evidence an organization has in place to demonstrate responsible business practices.

That matters to MOI because sustainability and corporate responsibility increasingly extend throughout the entire value chain. Many of the manufacturers, clients, and business partners we work with have their own environmental, social, and governance commitments and rely on measurable information from the organizations they do business with.

Participating in EcoVadis gives MOI a consistent, independent framework for demonstrating our progress and contributing to those larger sustainability goals.

Setting a Standard for Ourselves

As a dealer and service organization, MOI isn't subject to many of the same sustainability requirements, certifications, and measurements that apply to manufacturers.

We still believe in holding ourselves accountable.

EcoVadis gives us a governance framework for doing exactly that. It challenges us to establish policies, document our practices, measure outcomes, and evaluate our performance against the standards we choose to set for ourselves—not simply the minimum requirements of our industry.

That accountability is an important part of Making Our Impact. It helps turn our commitments into documented practices and gives us an external benchmark for evaluating whether those practices are working.

And when the assessment identifies gaps, that's valuable too. Those findings help us determine where stronger measurement, documentation, reporting, or new initiatives can make our organization better.

The Story Behind the Score

This year's assessment reflects progress across MOI, with particular strength in Labor & Human Rights, where our measures received an Advanced rating.

Behind those results are the programs and practices that make up Making Our Impact every day: investing in our employee-owners, volunteering in our communities, building meaningful nonprofit partnerships, finding responsible ways to reuse and divert materials, strengthening our policies and practices, and creating greater accountability around the impact of our business.

We're also continuing to learn.

Some areas of the EcoVadis assessment—including certifications and certain environmental and sustainable procurement measurements—are more challenging for MOI because we don't manufacture the products we sell. Understanding those gaps helps us focus on the areas we can influence and find better ways to measure and document that work.

Progress, Not a Finish Line

Reaching the top 25% is something we're proud of. But Making Our Impact has never been about earning a badge or checking a box.

It's about continually asking how we can do better—for our employee-owners, our clients, our partners, our communities, and our planet.

EcoVadis gives us another way to answer that question with evidence.

We set the standard. We measure our progress. We hold ourselves accountable. And then we keep going.
