The year 2020 brought with it many challenges, including how to maintain company culture when staff are working from home. Our team did not shy away from the challenge, but instead rose up and supported one another during very uncertain times. MOI’s leadership team encouraged staff to maintain relationships with one another using virtual tools like Microsoft Teams. Richmond Director of Sales, Jim Hopkins, touted MOI’s trust in our teammates and heavy emphasis on teamwork as the key to continued success. He shares that his “team has the tools and knowledge to perform at the level required by our customers” regardless of whether we are in the office or at home, and that we are given “the autonomy to get it done.”

MOI is not only dedicated to meeting our clients’ needs, but also those of our team members. Our leadership team provides staff with the opportunity to grow and build upon their skills. This may come from additional education, one-on-one mentoring, and even the freedom to choose a new role. After 10 years as a Project Coordinator, Teddi Caraballo felt she “had mastered those skills and was eager for a new challenge.” She expressed interest in an open position for a Project Manager, where she was quickly encouraged to apply. Teddi shares that “every step of the way I was assisted in transitioning from the Project Coordination role to Project Management.” This type of professional development is seen throughout the company, making it an ideal place for individuals looking to grow their career.
