MOI, Knoll, and Muuto created a design competition for architects and designers across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Architects and designers were challenged to incorporate Muuto products into a design that would be ideal to relax and recharge. The “dreamscapes” submitted from the A&D community were judged by Doug Militzer, Divisional Vice President of Knoll, Tina Lee, Marketing Manager of North America of Muuto, and Susan Lee, Vice President of MOI.
MOI received many impressive submissions for our Design Your Dreamscape Competition from architects and designers located in Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Virginia Beach.
Caitlin Friedges, sshape’s Senior Project Designer, won 1st prize with her thoughtful design incorporating textures and softness with Muuto products. Caitlin’s design impressed the judges with the picnic style setup featuring Muuto’s Base Table highlighting the view of Banff, Canada. The background image is actually a photograph taken by Caitlin’s family friend. Her holistic design decisions for this dreamscape won her $2,000 of Muuto product.
CRGA Design’s Senior Vice President, Rolf Haarstad, won 2nd prize with his clever design approach. Rolf’s dreamscape delighted the judges with his color palette selection, playful combination of nature and Muuto product, and the introspective concept of his ideal place to relax and recharge. Rolf won a Muuto Fiber Lounge Chair and small Around Table.
Our judges felt one more designer deserved a prize. Clara Cooper of Studio MAS Creative won honorable mention for her creatively detailed design incorporating a subtle palette and considerate selection of Muuto accessories. Clara won her selection of Muuto accessories.
