The Virginia General Assembly, the legislative body of the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as the oldest law-making institution in the nation, wanted to relocate to their new 400,000 square foot office location on Broad Street in the heart of downtown Richmond. The goal was to renovate the stately institution with comfortable modern amenities while still providing the same dedicated government service to the state of Virginia.
MOI and others provided unique furniture solutions for the building. Global, Halcon, Kimball and a consortium of other manufacturers played pivotal roles in the meticulous recreation of the building site. This collaborative effort transformed the space into an innovative hub of functionality. Dark hallways now make way to abundant natural light, and cramped committee rooms have now been expanded to include plush, spacious seating and charging ports for ease of access. The result is a state-of-the-art legislative environment that enhances productivity, and the overall experience for policymakers and constituents alike.
