MOI and our manufacturer partners, Knoll and Kimball, were awarded a contract through the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to procure and install over 4,200 workstations and private offices over the course of two phases of installation.
The goal of the HHS project was to consolidate five of its Operating Divisions from various locations into a renovated, state-of-the-art, and efficiently leased facility at the Parklawn Building. The focus of the consolidation was to improve the quality of the staff work environment, increase space efficiency and utilization, and embrace new technology. With these goals in mind, MOI was responsible for specifying and designing Knoll open plan workstations, Kimball executive private offices, as well as Gunlocke conference tables.
