Norfolk Naval ShipyardBuilding M32 Renovation
Norfolk Naval Shipyard
Awarded under MOI’s Navy Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract, the scope included the historic renovation of this four-story building to serve as administrative offices. This LEED certified project included the installation of over 165 Knoll Dividends workstations, five large conference rooms, break rooms, and break-out spaces. The MOI team also provided design and coordination of a large-scale art package that consisted of various types of substrates such as wall murals, acrylics, framed Sentra, aluminum, and custom shadow boxes to display a collection of artifacts that were discovered during demolition of the building.
Through close collaboration with the Navy, Whiting-Turner, Clark Nexsen, and Knoll, our team was able to deliver this secure project on schedule and create a functional space to accommodate the needs of the Navy as they continue to renovate, improve, and upgrade their various office facilities. Through precision planning tailored specifically for this space, MOI mitigated potential risks and implemented the project without any significant challenges.
