MOI partnered with GSA and NASA for their Integrated Engineering Services Building (IESB). The 134,000 square foot, two-story, mixed-use building at the NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) included the following spaces: engineering collaboration space; a full-service dining and serving area; media production services space; a multi-education and training center; a Strategic Relationship Office (SRO); education and public affairs space; a theater; conference and meeting spaces; and shared building support areas. The IESB project achieved LEED Gold certification.
MOI’s team moved quickly to meet NASA’s first installation phase, initiating design specification and project management immediately upon award of the project. Our team worked closely with GSA and NASA to finalize workstation and private office specifications, while simultaneously selecting finishes and fabrics for remaining ancillary furniture. MOI’s project manager ensured ample communication by participating in weekly construction meetings and developing regular project status reports to share the ongoing progress of the project. Throughout all three phases of the installation, MOI’s project manager remained on site to oversee the installation.
