On Thursday October 24th, IFMA Capital Chapter members and So Others May Eat – Center for Employment Training (SOME/CET) joined forces once gain and held a speed interviewing jam at MOI’s DC Showroom.
SOME/CET, an organization that cares for homeless and disadvantaged citizens prepared a program focused on training SOME/CET students for real life job interviews. 25 students visited nine stations set up throughout the space for 15-minute sessions with various IFMA members. Stations included Mock Job Interviews, Dress for Success, Elevator Pitch, Networking, and Resume Coaching.
MOI was proud to host the fifth annual SOME/CET Speed Interview Jam and looks forward to working with IFMA and SOME on future events.
On August 22, 2013, MOI, Kimball Office, and DIRTT hosted Operation Backpack: Back to Basics at MOI’s DC showroom. The event which supports Volunteers of America Chesapeake and their efforts to gather school supplies for children currently living in homeless and domestic violence shelters in the DMV area brought together 150 attendees. Part of the evening’s event was the highly anticipated backpack design competition. This year twelve local A&D firms competed to design and construct a backpack from scratch. Teams included Leo Daly, DBI Architects, VOA, BBG-BBGM, ASD, OTJ, Intec Group, OPX, Focus, HKS and Hickok Cole.

On May 23, 2013 MOI’s Virginia Beach office held a grand opening party at their new showroom located in the Virginia Beach Town Center. The new 3, 612 sf space features dedicated areas for welcoming clients, lounging, entertaining, focused work, formal and informal collaboration and a resource area for getting inspired. The showroom features a variety of manufacturers and a range of finishes that highlight MOI’s brand.
Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and tours of the showroom. A new showroom guide highlights product and features such as integrated DIRTT technology and ConnectTrac power management. MOI is excited to be part of the Town Center and becoming conveniently located resource for their clients and partners.
